Win the Work with Effective Marketing to Seniors and Senior Providers

Montgomery County has experienced a dramatic growth in its senior population. By the year 2030, seniors will make up 20% of the total population of Montgomery County compared to just 8.7% in 1980. The arts can play a huge role in  improving the lives of the seniors. Research shows that physical activity and social engagement improve a senior's likelihood of remaining healthy and capable of living independently in the community.

Join this lively discussion with representatives of the Arts Education Alliance for Older Adults (AEAOA) on how to (1) identify potential opportunities to work with seniors, (2) connect with senior providers and (3) what makes a winning proposal to win the work. Carol Fuentevilla of Holiday Park will discuss connecting with senior service providers and what they may be looking for in an artist.  Meredith Forster of Glen Echo Park will discuss the key points to crafting a proposal that lands YOU a teaching gig.
